French fries can be addictive and you know it. But who can resist? Well you don’t have to any more. You can make them at home and get your French-fry-fix!
Baking these fries is much healthier than frying. They use the same oil all day long at most fast food joints, and the oil is LOADED with salt and nasty chemicals. Bagged and frozen fries have so many preservatives to keep them from going bad, you don’t want to pollute your body with that either. Check out this super simple at-home fry recipe that will be sure to satisfy your salty craving, and safely!
Baked Rosemary Garlic Fries
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic seasoning (or a few fresh garlic cloves, finely minced)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with coconut oil cooking spray. Slice the potatoes into fries. (I left mine large like steak fries, but the smaller they are, the quicker they’ll cook.) In a large mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil and seasonings and mix until well coated. Place on baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes. Flip half way through. Serves 4.
