The anti-inflammatory ingredient in this smoothie is of course, turmeric. This bright yellow spice is what gives curry it’s color. It’s that bright pigment that contains curcumin, which is a very potent antioxidant that protects against a whole host of illnesses.
Turmeric is quite possibly the most potent anti-inflammatory out there that will reduce inflammation in the body and protect against heart disease, Alzheimer’s, cancer, metabolic syndrome and other degenerative diseases.
Turmeric is so powerful that it is widely believed to be as strong if not stronger than some anti-inflammatory medications.
Curcumin in turmeric neutralizes free radicals and boosts the body’s own antioxidant enzymes to keep you young and healthy.
In this study, curcumin was proven to be as effective as prozac in treating depression.

The gut healing agent in this smoothie is gelatin. Not the same gelatin that you had growing up as “jello” but pretty darn close! This is grass fed gelatin sourced from happy, healthy cows/pigs, which has amazing health benefits like these found here. And you can still make jello with this gelatin or even these yummy gummy snacks for kiddos!
