Craving a burger but not necessarily beef? This versatile patty can be made with ground chicken or ground turkey. It’s a really quick and tasty meal that comes together in no time, like most of my real food recipes. 🙂
The addition of ground cumin gives it that smokiness factor. However, you could make it many different ways by swapping out the seasonings and other ingredients. Maybe next time I’ll do bacon and blue cheese or lemon zest and feta. So many delicious options…
Smoky Green Onion Chicken Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
Directions: In a large mixing bowl, mix together all the ingredients until well combined. Form into 4 flattened patties with your hands. Cook in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Once the chicken patty is firm and no longer pink on the inside it is done. Serve in a lettuce wrap, gluten-free bun or however you like! Serves 4.
