Low on time in the mornings?
Me too. I’m so not a morning person!
This is a super simple breakfast that you can throw together in like 30 seconds before you go to bed at night, to make your life a tad bit easier in the busy mornings.
Plus, this is a basic overnight oats recipe that can be adapted to make a million different and fun ways! The optional add ins are endless- chia seeds, flaxseeds, protein powder, slivered almonds, walnuts, blueberries, mango, shredded coconut, raisins, chopped dates, raw cacao powder and more!
Overnight Oats with Strawberries
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup almond milk, coconut milk or water (depending on how thick you like it)
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 Tbsp. raw coconut sugar
Directions: Combine oats and milk in a mason jar or mug and let sit overnight in your fridge. In the morning, stir in the coconut sugar. You can eat this cold or heat it up, whatever you prefer. Top with sliced strawberries and start your day off right. I personally add hemp protein powder by Nutiva and coconut oil to my oatmeal for a well rounded meal that keeps me full until lunchtime.
