I like to feed my 2 year old a nutritious diet filled with whole foods. I know that she’ll have plenty of processed, unhealthy foods in her childhood at birthday parties, family gatherings and so on. So I try to make sure that she eats well when she is with me, which is most of the time.
That’s not to say that she doesn’t get the occasional treat at home though, because treats are fun! Treats one of the greatest joys of life! 😉
So, I like to take traditional dessert recipes and make them using only real food ingredients. No yucky additives, inflammatory vegetable oils, added sugar or unnecessary ingredients. Bonus points if they use just a few ingredients and are quick to make, like this one!
These cookies are gluten free, nut free, egg free, vegetarian and processed sugar free. They are perfect for people with food allergies or food sensitivities.
This recipe is ridiculously simple to make. You just mix together oats, bananas and raisins, roll into balls and bake them for 15 minutes! That’s it!
These cookies are soft and chewy on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside. Sounds like a perfect cookie to me!
I feel zero guilt about giving these to my baby girl.
3 Ingredient Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup gluten free rolled oats
- 1/4 cup raisins
- dash of cinnamon (optional)
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. In a food processor, mix bananas and oats (and cinnamon if using) until well combined. Then pulse in the raisins just until mixed through evenly. Roll into evenly sized balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes. Makes about 8.
